| Adjust speaker and MIC volumes and sound quality |
To change the speaker and MIC volumes, adjust the relevant slider on the Kronas PCFONE. The speaker volume is controlled by the slider on the left while the MIC volume is controlled by the slider on the right. To mute the speaker or MIC, click on the small button beneath each slider.
You can use the Tuning Wizard to tune your speakers and MIC. To invoke the Tuning Wizard:
- Click on the ‘Settings’ button on the phone
- Select the Phone tab and click on the Tuning Wizard button
Once you complete the tuning process, you may click on the OK button to close the Settings area.
Using a headset with a built-in microphone on one or both sides will have significant improvement on sound quality. If you do not have a headset the following methods can assist in obtaining better sound quality.
- Use headphones instead of your computer speakers
- Move the microphone closer or further away from your mouth
- Use an external microphone (note that most laptops use low-quality microphones)
- Update your soundcard drivers

| Saving a Contact in Address Book |
Click on the ‘Address Book’ button to launch address book, where you can add new contacts, edit existing contacts and delete existing contacts.
To add a new contact to your address book:
- Click on the ‘New’ button
- Enter the ‘Name’ and ‘Telephone Number’. When entering the telephone number, you please make sure that you enter it as 00 + country code + area code + subscriber number, even for local numbers.
- You can assign a speed dial key by selecting the speed dial key from the drop-down list
- Click on the ‘OK’ button to save the entry
To edit an existing contact in your address book:
- Highlight the existing entry that you want to edit and click on the ‘Edit’ button
- Make the changes and click on the ‘OK’ button to save the entry
To delete an existing contact in your address book:
- Highlight the existing entry that you want to delete and click on the ‘Delete’ button

| Calling a Contact in the Address Book |
Click on the ‘Address Book’ button to launch the address book and double click on the entry to call the contact.

| Viewing Call History |
Click on the ‘View History’ button to view missed, received and dialled calls. You can double click on any entry to call the destination number.

| Customizing the Kronas PCFONE |
Click on the ‘Settings’ button to customize the following options:
- Login method: Under the ‘Credentials’ tab, you can specify your username and the password to avoid entering them at the start up. Further, you can check the ‘Log me in automatically’ and allow the Kronas PCFONE to remember your username and the password and log you in automatically at next start up.
- Ring Tone and Volume: You can specify your own ring tone and ring volume. Click on the browse button (button with three dots) under the Phone tab to select a valid media file as the ring tone. You can click on the ‘Play’ button to listen to the selected ring tone before applying it. You can use the slider to adjust the ring volume. Checking the ‘Use Default Ring’ box ignores the user specified ring tone and uses the system default ring tone.
